Vodacom Change the World Pogramme stimulates a culture of volunteerism in SA

Every year 20 skilled volunteers are paid by Vodacom to dedicate their expertise to a Non Profit Organisation (NPO) through the Vodacom Change the World programme. These volunteers traded their jobs to plough back their skills in an NPO for a year, to touch the lives of ordinary people and help bolster the good work NPO’s are doing in the country.

The Vodacom Change the World programme was first introduced in 2011, giving individuals the opportunity to volunteer their time and skills to work at a Non Profit Organisation (NPO) for a period of 12 months. To date 82 volunteers have successfully participated and each one of them has made a difference in the period that they worked with their NPO.

Change the World is part of Vodafone’s ‘World of Difference’ programme that is run in more than 19 countries across the globe. The initiative underscores the importance of partnerships between the private sector and NPOs in the pursuit of the common goal of building a better life for all.  This is the 6th year that VCtW will be running in South Africa.

It is evident that the Vodacom CtW volunteers have over these past years not just made a difference at their NPOs and the lives of their beneficiaries, but some have also realised that the world of social entrepreneurship is where they want to stay.

Use your skills to Change the World. Vodacom is looking for skilled professionals to be a part of Change The World 2017 as volunteers. If you think you have a skill that could benefit an organisation for a year, if you’re passionate, have heart and want to make a difference then WE WANT YOU!

The Vodacom Change the World Volunteers are ordinary people who are doing extra-ordinary things. If you have a passion to make a difference, use your skills to change the world and apply today.

Vodacom will pay successful volunteers a monthly salary that will be negotiated and agreed upon together with the chosen NPO. Vodacom reserves the right to determine the final salary.
