Minister Nzimande increased Funding for student loans, bursaries to R8.9bn

Minister of Higher Education Blade Nzimande has admitted that the National Student Financial Scheme (NSFAS) is faced with many challenges. Delivering his budget vote speech in Parliament, Mr Nzimande said the total funding available for loans and bursaries for the 2014 academic year was about R8.9bn.
