IRP5 is a document, also known as the employee’s tax certificate, which details an employee’s incomes, taxes and related deductions at the end of each year.
Employees use the IRP5 document to complete their income tax return for the year.
IRP5 Registered means that SASSA’s system has noticed an alternative income from the applicant’s details. Due to this, the system thinks that the person is still employed.
Applicants have been reminded that SASSA has high volumes of appeals, which is why they need to be patient.
The fact that many people have appealed their applications more than once has delayed the process.
