The Municipal infrastructure Support Agent (MISA) in conjunction with the Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA) hereby offers unemployed graduates an 18~months internship in the local government sector.
MISA is a component of the Department of Cooperative Governance (DCOG) established in terms of Section 7(2) Schedule 3 of the Public Service Act Of 1994 (as amended), established to build technical capacity of municipalities tO undertake efficient planning, delivery, operations and management of municipal infrastructure, amongst other functions.
Whilst the programme is not exclusively limited to individuals from previously disadvantaged communities, MISA strives for excellence in the context Of service delivery and skills development and encourages historically disadvantaged individuals to apply.
This is a workplace internship programme to assist graduates with career mobility and employability in line with the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS III).
The successful Graduate Intern will be placed in Koukamma Municipality under the tutelage of an experienced qualified municipal supervisor official for on-the-job supervision for l8-months covering the following Built Environment Technical discipline:

Eligibility: Unemployed FET College or university / university of technology graduate meeting the minimum academic requirements in the form of:

Waste Management – N6 / National Diploma / BTech (Environmental Science)
Requirements:
Applicants must be unemployed graduates willing and available to undergo 18-months post-graduation workplace experience deployment with a host municipality.
Applicants must be South African citizens and residents of the Koukamma Municipality.
