How To Change Phone Number on SASSA SRD

You might find yourself wanting to update some of your details after applying for the R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant. Here’s how you can change your phone number.

The phone number you use when applying for the grant is important, because SASSA uses it to communicate with you when your grant is ready for collection.

If you no longer use the same phone number you provided when applying for the grant, you can follow these steps to change it in one of the following ways.

1. Call SASSA

SASSA has a Toll Free Call Centre that applicants can contact should they need assistance with updating their details.

– The call centre number is 0800 60 10 11

2. Email SASSA

An alternative way that applicants can change their phone number is by sending an email to SASSA. Applicants can request for their number to be updated on the system by sending an email to [email protected]

Applicants can also visit the SASSA website for more information at www.sassa.gov.za or https://srd.sassa.gov.za.

SASSA has started the process of paying sucessful applicants who applied for the R350 grant. However, not all applicants will recieve their payments at the same time.

SASSA has urged those waiting for payments to be patient while it processes the remaining applications.

“Please be patient, payments are being made as we speak. SASSA CARES and we will pay all deserving applicants. SASSA apologies for all inconvenienced caused.” explained SASSA.
