eNCA is looking for a Cameraman/Video Editor Intern in the Pretoria Bureau. This is a contract position only. Reporting to the Bureau Chief: Pretoria, your Key Performance Areas will include:
- Co-ordinate studio crossings
- Film and record audio material to be edited and packaged as news inserts for news broadcasts
- Use the correct lighting and sound recording techniques complying with broadcast standards
- Video and Audio editing of news stories filmed on location
- Feed of edited or raw material from location to the base station or to bureaus as instructed
Requirements
- Formal education in video/television operations (minimum 1 year)
- A working knowledge on Final Cut Pro Editing system
- Some exposure in television production or related fields
- Basic knowledge of Broadcasting/Television terminology
- Computer literate and competent in the use of Ms Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel
- Good command of the English language (spoken and written)
- Ability to take instructions
- Ability to work within a team
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Responsible and accountable
Note: The successful candidate will be required to work irregular and long hours, including weekends, public holidays and standby shifts.
