Requirements

  •  A B-Pharm degree.
  •  No experience required
  •  Z83 Form

Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate applications for the registration of medicines
  •  Assist the Unit Manager to organization a co-ordinate work in the Unit
  •  Assist in the training of staff in the Unit
  •  Record and maintain statistics on work received and done
  •  Undergo training on skills development and personal advancement
  •  Draft policy documents and maintain policies as well as ensure compliance by applicants
  •  Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), regulations and guidelines for the registration of medicines and their updates
  •  Consult with representatives from the industry to advise on administrative and technical issues
  •  Prepare documents, submissions and reports to the Pharmaceutical and Analytical 23 Committee for notification, discussion and recommendation
  •  Attend and participate in Pharmaceutical and Analytical Committee meetings
  •  Liaise with representatives from industry

Competencies

  • Competency in the use of MSWord and Excel as well as related computer software is essential
  •  A high degree of dedication and accurate work as well as good organizational skills
  •  Innovative thinking, initiative and leadership qualities are recommended
  •  Good communication (written and verbal) skills and interpersonal relations
