CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: RENEWABLE AND SUSTAINABLE ENERGY SCHOLARSHIPS
The Renewable & Sustainable Energy Scholarships (RSES) Programme is a human capacity development programme that is funded by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) and managed by the National Research Foundation (NRF). Scholarships are advertised for 2015 for South African citizens and South African permanent residents who wish to complete Master’s or Doctoral degrees in the science, engineering and technology (SET) fields, focusing on the following research themes:
- Cleaner fossil fuel development, including clean coal technologies;
- Renewable energy (bio-energy including bio-fuels, solar energy, wind energy, etc.);
- Energy impact on the environment;
- Energy for socio-economic development;
- Energy system planning and modeling; and
- Energy policy research.
Scholarship Values: Doctoral Scholarship: Master’s Scholarship: R100,000 per annum over 3 years R85.000 per annum over 2 years
