Introduction…

AVI Learning and Development is looking for a customer focused, dynamic and enthusiastic junior trainer to join the L&D team. This role will require a combination of administrative elements, strong customer service, training delivery, good planning and organisational abilities and communication across a wide scope of stakeholders. This person will report into the Head of L&D to ensure that training is professionally conducted and related training administration is on track. The trainer will be involved in delivery, development and management of internal training programmes particularly, but not limited to, the retail environment. This is an exciting, dynamic and demanding role that would suit an assertive outgoing, passionate and confident individual eager to start a career in learning and development.

Minimum Requirements…

Qualifications

  • Completed tertiary qualification (HR, Psych or BSC with drama a distinct advantage)

Experience:

  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience dealing with clients and delivering on goals in a demanding and rapidly changing environment
  • Experience presenting and speaking publicly

Knowledge:

  • Computer Literacy (MS Office) intermediate/advanced PowerPoint and Word, intermediate Excel

Other:

  • Willing to travel
  • Valid driver’s license and own car

Job Specification…

Key Performance Areas:
Learning and Development Administration

  • Co-ordination of L&D in-house courses and programmes
  • Managing statutory training arrangements for specific Business Units
  • Setting up of rooms for training events including invitations, catering requirements etc. – liaison with sites to ensure off site training arrangements are made and training runs smoothly
  • Capturing of training events onto SAP for reporting post training
  • Capturing of post training evaluation for reporting purposes
  • Assisting the head of L&D with any specific administrative duties required in the AVI Business Units
  • Assistance in monitoring the impact of training delivery for internal and externally run courses
  • Overseeing the service provider registration for training providers is correctly managed and SLA’s are in place for all preferred providers

Delivery and Facilitation

  • Delivery of L&D in-house training courses e.g. group Induction, SAP Systems Training
  • Assistance in research and course content development
