The University of the Free State is looking for Finance Intern to assume duty as soon as possible within its Department of Finance.
Internship (contract appointment: 1 year) – Ref.: Support1407-074
Duties and responsibilities:
Facilitation of the following finance functions:
- Understanding University of the Free State (UFS) Procurement Policies.
- The procurement process.
- Understand UFS Tender Policy.
- The tender process.
- Stockholding.
- Handle supporting documentation in the procurement process.
Inherent requirements:
- A relevant B Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Good customer relationship skills.
- Ability to work accurately and systematically with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and multitask.
- Good problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University’s parallel-medium and multicultural working environment.
