The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) seeks a Recruiting Assistant to join its Human Resources team in Johannesburg. Within the recruiting team, the Recruiting Assistant (RA) will provide full administrative support to the Recruiting team. The RA will report to the Recruiting Manager (RM).

Responsibilities

  • End to End Coordination of interview process
  • Set up and manage interview schedules with candidates and interviewers.
  • Coordinate end to end logistics for interview set up-including Video Conference coordination with other BCG offices across different time zones, whilst being cognizant of both candidate and interviewer availability.
  • Create and distribute candidate & interviewer packets.
  • Create decision round reports, work with recruiting team to schedule and gather feedback.
  • Relationship management with both internal (Interviewers and Consulting Staff) and external (High Potential candidates, career service centres) key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that BCG quality events are set up-involves sourcing exclusive venues to ascertain the ‘right’ atmosphere is created for an event.
  • Support Recruiting Team on Lateral Hire Recruitment Events- from high level sourcing of candidates on Linkedin to coordination of logistics for event.
  • Manage and track RSVPs; attend events as needed (such as receptions, case interview workshops and sell dinners).
  • Place advertisements in student publications, University Career Offices and with professional associations
  • Responsible for updating database related recruiting activity including:
  • Input candidate information for all resumes as required.
  • Updating and tracking candidate status on BCG Specific Recruiting systems.
  • Enter and track recruiting commitments in the events database

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Honours degree (obtained or in progress)
  • Strong interest in developing a career within Recruitment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Ability to work outside ‘normal working hours’ during peak recruiting periods.

  • Willingness to collaborate on admin intensive tasks- eg. Manage recruiting store room and set up and tear down of collateral for events.

  • High energy level is essential to the role, as the successful incumbent will be selling the BCG brand to prospective candidate, and also get buy in from the Business on assisting with Recruiting Activities.
