Primedia Broadcasting is always looking for fresh talent.
The 947 Crew is a team of young people who are connected to the city of Joburg. They both interact with the community but also amplify that connection through telling the stories of Joburg via digital media. They need to be adept with photographs, instavids and words in order to be able to tell the story of Joburg and its great people.
Ideally, you would’ve just graduated from university with a degree or diploma in journalism and have been active in campus media. You should be able to demonstrate a mix of writing and photographic skill, making your creativity come to life.
Your role requires to be out and about in the city at the coolest events, launches, store openings and press conferences. You’ll need to able to write about it, create a gallery, or report back on it in a way which is best fit. We will need you to be telling the stories of Joburg’s movers and shakers. Who are the artists bubbling? What are the cool new spots and the happening places to hang out? Of course, all this needs to be balanced with the fact that 947 listeners tend to have young families so you’ve got to be able to keep them on trend but also guide them to the places where they can chill with their families.
