If you’re a SASSA grant beneficiary, it’s important for you to know when your SASSA grant is being paid. Here are the SASSA grant payment dates for October 2021.Advertisement

As we approach the end of September and the start of October, SASSA grant beneficiaries will be interested in knowing their grant payment dates.

The SASSA grant payment dates for September are:

  • Older Person’s Grants 4 October 2021
    • This includes any grants linked to these accounts
  • Disability Grants 5 October 2021
    • This includes any grants linked to these accounts
  • Foster Care Grants 6 October 2021
  • Care Dependency Grants 6 October 2021
  • Child Support Grants 6 October 2021

As for the Covid-19 Special Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, or what’s known as the R350 grant, there is not a set payment date. Once you’ve been approved, SASSA then aims to pay soon after that. However, delays are possible.

Beneficiaries are urged to wait for an SMS to say that they can collect their R350 grant and should not head out to collect it if they haven’t received an SMS.

Grants will be paid to the beneficiary through the method they chose when applying for the grant, this is relevant for all SASSA grants.

SASSA continues to say, “There is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed”.

Should you have any questions for SASSA about your SASSA grants, you can call them at 0800 60 10 11 or visit the SASSA website here.
