SARS: Human Resources (HR) Graduate Trainees x6

Development Programme entry level position at South African Revenue Service in the Government & Local Government (Government) industry.

SARS seeks to enrol qualified individuals in the Human Resources Division (Remuneration and Benefits, Employee Services and HR Business Resource Services):

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • Amongst others, the purpose of Remuneration and Benefits division is to develop and maintain a consistently fair, competitive and tax effective remuneration package structure, Develop and recommend remuneration and benefits policies, including incentives and recognition awards, Maintain and administer a consistent and impersonal job evaluation system, which determines the ranking, competencies and value of each job in terms of remuneration level.

Employee Services:

  • The Employee Service provides a centralised service to SARS and its employees that is Cost-efficient, Rapid and Reliable, Keeping the basics right so that business can get on with “Core Business”. The Employee Service unit is responsible for a comprehensive HR Administration & Payroll service on a centralised basis.

HR Business Resource Services:

  • Business Resource Services serves as the face of the HR division, its activities permeate the whole of HR and beyond, and consequently its value can be measured according to the continuous interface within the individual HR Business units and other external stakeholders to HR.
  • The purpose of this unit is to provide seamless support to the broader HR business units with products and services that will enable the HR division to operate optimally in order to deliver on its mandate.

The Graduate Development Programme of SARS is a 24 months programme (fixed terms) where you will be introduced to a broad spectrum of learning experience while developing generalist and specialist fields.

At the end of the development programme, trainees who successfully meet SARS’s recruitment requirements will be considered permanent appointment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • BCom in Human Resources
  • South African Citizens
  • Not more than 6 months of work experience
  • Currently not participating in Graduate programme/Learnership

Qualifications:
