Plumbing Apprenticeship 2018 at Johannesburg Water (x20 Posts)

Johannesburg Water is launching an apprenticeship programme in the trade of plumbing which will involve candidates completing an apprenticeship programme as per the specified and regulated criteria of the applicable Seta and the National Artisan Moderating Body. This will involve practical training on-site as well as attendance at an FET college to obtain the theory component. At the end of the training programme, the apprentice will complete a formal trade test to qualify as an Artisan Plumber. During the apprenticeship, all apprentices will be supported by a mentor.Johannesburg Water (SOC) Ltd was established in 2001 as a municipal entity wholly owned by the City of Johannesburg. It is a R5.3bn turnover company employing ±2 400 people and its core purpose is to provide water and sanitation services to approximately 3.8 million people.Candidates for this apprenticeship should possess the following attributes:

  • Grade 12 passed with Mathematics and Physical Science
  • Not older than 25 years of age
  • South African citizen.
  • Applicants will be required to undergo an assessment in order to qualify.
