Norfund Investment Graduate Trainee Opportunity

Norfund has a 15 month traineeship opportunity at their Johannesburg office. This includes part of the training in Oslo, Norway.

Norfund – the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries – invests in the establishment and development of profitable and sustainable enterprises in developing countries. The aim is to contribute to economic growth and poverty reduction. Norfund is owned by the Norwegian Government and serves as a key instrument in Norwegian development policy.

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Bachelor degree in e.g., finance, business, banking, administration, or accounting
  • Excellent English communication skills (speaking and writing)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Structured and efficient work style; results oriented, accurate, punctual, and able to multitask
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, and a team player
  • Understanding of and interest in investment and economic development
  • Travel will be required (e.g. 3 months training in Oslo, and regional field visits)
  • Previous work experience not a prerequisite
