We are expanding our Industrial Design services and require two positions to be filled for mid and senior level Industrial Designers to join our experienced team of creative and technically minded designers and engineers. Projects revolve around human-centered design, research and product development in areas such as consumer electronics, medical devices, home appliances, financial services and industrial equipment.

Designation Industrial Designer and Senior Industrial Designer
Job Description – Gathering and understanding project requirements and usability based on design briefs or through client liaison and team workshops
– Human-Centered Design Research and Ideation for Concept Development
– Identifying appropriate technologies, materials, services, business models and manufacturing processes
– Rationalising and problem solving technical issues through logical methodologies
– Ideation and concept design: Translating briefs into concepts through detailed design processes and prototypes that can be realised through manufacturing processes
– Generating 3D CAD models, producing engineering drawings, producing part lists, costings, renderings and graphics using the respective software applications
– exposure to UX/UI projects is an advantage
– Managing own projects into prototype testing and tool sampling and generating project support documentation
– Taking part and leading in specialist and multidisciplinary discussions and team meetings
– Work within budgets, timescales and project constraints.
– Occasionally travel to clients, suppliers and manufacturing facilities
Candidate profile –
Whilst being a team player you must be capable of taking ownership of projects and be able to manage deliverables according to project requirements and deadlines
– You must have an appreciation and keen eye for design aesthetics
– You must have experience in the industry of product and service development
– You must have sound and creative approach to technical problem solving
– You must be able to conceptualise and ideate new designs and communicate those through sketching, CAD and prototyping
– You need to communicate well through sketching, verbally and in writing
– It is essential that you have an awareness of current technology and trends
Education –
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in design from a reputable University/Institution
Experience – 2+ years for mid-level and 4+ years for senior-level Industrial Designer
– A thorough knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
– Competent CAD skills a must, preferably Pro-Engineer Wildfire
– Competent skills in graphics and visualization software
– Competent at using Microsoft Office programs
