MEDICAL PHYSICIST INTERN (MEDICAL PHYSICS)

Steve Biko Academic Hospital Bsc (Hons) degree in Medical Physics or equivalent as specified by the Health Professionals Council (HP CSA). Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Physicist intern. Mathematical competency insight and problem solving capabilities. Good interpersonal relationship. Computer literacy with Ms Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be able to work outside normal worki ng hours when required.

Duties

The candidate will undergo internship training for a minimum of 2 years as an intern medical physicist according to the HPCSA accreted training Program at Steve Biko Academic Hospital. Participate in routine medical physics activities which include all quality control, dosim entry, branchytherapy and radiation protection calculation and measurements performed in the hospital.
