Dear Ms. Richardson,

I was very excited to hear that xyz Hotels is hiring Kitchen Staff and I am confident that I have the skills and This experience will help me to take move my career to the next level.

I have always loved to cook, so I enrolled in culinary school and I acquired my food handler certificate. During this time, I also worked part time in a five star restaurant as a helper and I am going on my third year with this company. Working with these professional has taught me lots of patience along with how to maintain a well-organized kitchen, even when the restaurant is packed.

This type of training is something that you can only get from firsthand experience and now I am ready to advance my career and move into a more demanding position. Part of my duties includes preparing the food items, which consist of washing, chopping and sorting foods and properly storing the foods until needed. I also have experience preparing salads and soups.

I am very observant, learn quickly and I have excellent decision-making skills. I always follow directions and pitch in to do extra duties when needed to help keep the kitchen running smoothly. If there is free time in-between the preparations, I will always lend a hand to keep the kitchen clean even if that means washing dishes or cleaning floors.

I am a hard worker who is dependable with a real desire to eventually become head chef and becoming a member of your staff would be a great step in that direction.

You can reach me for an interview by calling (123)-456-7891.

Respectfully,

Khabza Mkhize
