KAEFER Trainee Technician Graduate Opportunity

KAEFER seeks Quantity Surveying Graduate / students for a wonderful employment opportunity. The purpose of the Trainee Technician position, is to equip the Trainee to a level where he/ she can provide assistance to the either a Quantity Surveyor, a Planner or an Estimator in carrying out the duties assigned to them. The training will be for a period of at least 2 to 3 years. • In addition to gaining a varied experience, responsibilities will be to provide the required support and assistance where required. Detailed responsibilities will be set out for each deployment.
• Organizational Relationships: Honesty and integrity are critical to the position and the ability of management to trust the job incumbent is essential.

The Trainee Technician reports to the Manager relevant to where he is deployed at the time.

• The Technician will be exposed to various aspects of the company’s business. This exposure may include time spent in Estimating, Planning, Quantity Surveying, Safety, Quality Assurance, Scaffolding, Insulation, Painting etc.
• Where possible, the Technician should also be exposed to NEC Conditions of contract.

Technical Requirements

• Be computer literate on Microsoft Word and Excel (or be able to attain the required (Computer literacy within a reasonable and stipulated period).
• The incumbent will be required to work at Head Office and or on sites and may be transferred from site to site to maximize exposure and to meet company and client requirements.
• Be able to work methodically and accurately with above average attention to detail.
