Requirements
- The candidate should be in possession of a degree in Industrial Engineering
- Fluent in English (reading and writing).
- Computer literacy
Responsibilities
- Draw Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) for all sections of the plant and keep them on records for reference purpose and plant improvements
- Provide a high level technical support and technical assistance in the operations department, e.g. Research materials of construction and compatibility in relation with the chemicals
- Maintain materials and equipment working with the maintenance team. Ensuring that the company has enough backup equipment to reduce downtimes and speed up productivity efficiencies
- Monitor compliance with all health and safety rules as well as the environmental regulations. This includes emissions control via scrubbing of chemical fumes and also improving the effluent treatments
- Mitigate the risk of exposure to the Environmental Authorities and will reduce the health risks for the employees and the surrounding communities
- Develop support systems to facilitate research programs for improvements on production capabilities via research on the best production practice; improve production methods through infrastructural improvement. This will include research on process equipment automation; performing trial runs on different batches to determine residence times for the all blends. Also perform trial runs before a new blend is executed
