Snackworks is responsible for the biscuit and snacking portfolio under AVI looking Graduate EngineerAn exciting opportunity has become available for a Graduate Engineer, based at the Westmead Biscuit Factory in Pinetown, reporting to the Engineering Executive
A Graduate Engineer will perform engineering tasks under the direct supervision of an experienced engineer. The successful candidate will be expected to gain skills and knowledge through exposure to different facets of engineering projects.
Key Outputs will include but are not limited to the following projects:
- Provide support to the Engineering Executive with various projects run across 3 different factories
- Provide support to the Engineering Executive for long term capacity planning
- Support and contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Provide key support to the Project Engineering department
- Assist with Capex motivations and all elements that would be included in the Capex
- Ensure ongoing activity to review key initiatives
- Assist with ad-hoc projects
Requirements
- A completed Industrial Engineering Degree and or similar qualification
- Exposure to the FMCG / Food manufacturing sector
- AutoCad proficiency
- Advanced proficienty in Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential
