Vacancies exist for Porters, working in the services department based at the Life Wilgers Hospital, Pretoria. The purpose of this position is to support the hospital staff in basic delivery of tasks i.e transportation of patients. The successful applicant will report directly to the Services Co-ordinator. Duties
- Providing prompt, courteous service to all patients, staff, doctors and any other persons
- Safe and professional transporting of patients to theatre and other sites
- Delivering of prescriptions, ECG’s, X-rays, as well as any other goods, to relevant Units/personnel within the Hospital.
- Assist with lifting and handling of patients
Requirements
- Candidates must be in position of a Senior Certificate
- Competencies required are strong people’s skills, maturity, physical strength and good communication skills.
- Candidates must be prepared to work day or night shift, weekends and public holidays
- Must be willing to fulfill a role in the services department according to the flexi hour system.
