Sage VIP is currently offering candidates an opportunity to apply for acceptance into a Support Consultant Learnership. If successful, candidates will be exposed to intensive theoretical and practical training for a period of 8 months.
Payroll Support Consultants are responsible for two main duties being on-site consulting and telephonic support. Each consultant’s schedule is planned in advance and varies between the two main duties.
On-site consulting the consultant will go to the clients premises. Different types of consultations can be done. Herewith a few examples: new implementation (doing a needs analysis, defining the parameters, creating additional reports), tax year-ends and implementing new modules.
Telephonic support (TS) – as a new consultant at VIP, your first couple of months after training will be mostly spend on TS. This is a rapid learning phase and you are exposed to all facets of VIP. Each call will be logged to enable VIP to provide a professional service. VIP Clients can phone our support centre with any problem relating their payroll / HR and VIP Software. The more senior you become the less time will be spend on TS and more at the clients.
