Ampath has a vacancy for a Lab Assistant at Westridge Cytology in Kwazulu Natal. The purpose of position is to receive and process specimens accurately in the Laboratory.
Requirements:
- Standard 10 / Grade 12
- Communication skills
- HPCSA registration as Lab Assistant
Advantageous:
- Previous laboratory / pathology environment experience
- Knowledge of Meditech system
- Computer skills
- Numerical reasoning skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and store specimens in order to ensure correct recording and handling of specimens.
- Clean and maintain laboratory and relevant equipment in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform general laboratory tasks in order to ensure the effective functioning of the laboratory.
- Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath.
