The Volvo Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction and equipment, invites applications for a Marketing Internship position.
This position will be based at Volvo Trucks in Boksburg, Gauteng. This is a multi-purpose role, with a strong focus on administration and reconciliations and secondly, assisting all of the various functions within the Marketing department, which will also allow the person to learn about marketing, events and communication in the commercial vehicles industry.
Job Functions
- Processing of all purchase orders for the department from quotes to invoices.
- Reconciling all financial transactions for the department, after events to ensure the transactions are allocated to the correct G/L accounts.
- Updating the CRM system to ensure all customer records are accurate and that they are validated from time to time in support of Sales and for events and marketing purposes.
- Assisting with events, when additional resources are required.
- Assisting with brand activities such as distributing promotional material to Dealers.
- Assisting with sourcing of Promotional Items and the relevant suppliers when required.
- Controlling Volvo Trucks branding and store room.
- General departmental support when the rest of the team is not available, such as sending bulletins, answering phones, loading articles onto Intranet and etc.
- Assisting with finding and booking locations for smaller events.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Essential).
- Relevant qualification in Marketing (Desirable), Event Management and / or Communications.
- Verbal and Written Communication.
- Computer Literacy (MS Office) but confident in Powerpoint and Excel advantageous.
- Attention to detail.
- Time Management.
- Working under pressure.
- Energetic.
- CRM systems advantageous.
