Job Purpose
    – To identify, design, develop, implement and evaluate learning and development programmes for SARS.

Duties

Process
    – Conduct research to investigate areas of concern in order to resolve problems and identify new solutions.
    – Determine, develop, organise, execute and evaluate training to address identified needs.
    – Ensure that completed work adhere to relevant policies, procedures, governance and legislative requirements and report on deviations & discrepancies.
    **Correctly apply policies, practices, standards, procedures and legislation in the delivery of work outputs.
    **Perform operations in a specialised area to technical specifications and contribute to operational result delivery within predefined standards.
    **Use practical and applied knowledge and judgement to arrive at decisions.
    Develop and maintain productive working relationships with peers and SARS role players to achieve predefined objectives.
    **Apply practical and applied knowledge and act authoritatively on methods, systems and procedures to identify trends and potential risks.
    **Provide reports with recommendations applicable to area of specialisation.

People
    **Maintain professional interaction and ensure ethical dealings with stakeholders at all times.
    **Drive own performance & provide specialist support & advice to achieve specified objectives against required targets, deadlines and quality standards.

    conduct a training needs analysis
    conduct a training plan audit
    determine the effectiveness of the training programme
    develop a strategic approach to training and development
    To coordinate the development of quality curriculum design and assessment methods and practices and identify areas for improvement and innovation.
    design a training course
    give feedback and counsel the learner
    identify current organisational barriers to training and development
    communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
    create a learning environment suitable for specified learning requirements
    manage training facilities
    Coordinate the design and development of innovative learning and development solutions, curricula, programs and material.

Experience
    – Five years’ experience in a training and development environment, including instructional design.
