SANBI: Horticulture work-integrated learning Programme

The South African National Biodiversity is offering a six-month work-integrated learning opportunities are at their Walter Sisulu, Pretoria and KwaZulu-Natal national botanical gardens from 1 July 2015 – 31 December 2015.
Students will gain hands-on experience in horticulture and have a garden / living collection project for the duration of their programme. This will be in the form of an area in the garden / collection that is already developed and requires on-going maintenance and improvement. Students will be solely responsible for all the propagation, maintenance, soil preparation, planting and labelling of the section, in consultation with their mentor.
Value: Stipend offered: R3 000.00 per month. No benefits apply.Who is eligible to apply?

Requirements: Second and third year (registered) South African students who study horticulture (National Diploma) are urged to apply. Students must be passionate about horticulture, enthusiastic and eager to learn.
