To maximise further growth potential in South Africa and provide resources to support the Africa expansion strategy Powertools team requires a dedicated trainee to handle work in areas of product introductions, administration, analytical tasks and project roll outs as assigned by the Department Manager
- Handling general sales force enquiries (quotations, internal requisitions, stock availability etc.)
- Ranging & Planograming
- Help with Export or over border related queries.
- Prepare POS solutions
- Material Master housekeeping
- Inventory planning & procurement – work closely with Jnr. Brand Manager.
- Stock/Inventory management
- Inbound logistics liaison – track shipments & work closely with Freight Forwarders
- Sales & Margin Report Analysis and Interpretation
- Service level analysis & reporting + interpretation
- Prepare quarterly Sales promotions + tracking + measurement
- Event planning + coordination, e.g. Regional Sales Meetings, Press Days
- Costing of imports + part number loading on SAP
- Merchandising + updating of the Rollout register
- Carry out Market research projects & Market Intelligence (competitive benchmarking).
PR coordination & handle queries – Liaison with PR agency on posts to Social Media platforms (FB, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) and press releases to print media (local publications: Engineering News, Construction World, Mining News, DIY Trade news etc).
Requirements
- Marketing Degree/Diploma
- Hons Marketing degree will be an added advantage or 1 yr previous Marketing experience
- Good understanding of the management supply chain process
- Excellent grasp of merchandising applications
- Ability to grasp technical applications
