Risk Management Graduate Opportunity at G4S Cash Solutions

G4S Cash Solutions has a vacancy for a Graduate : Risk Management Coordinator based in Centurion.

The successful candidate will support the implementation of the revised Group Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Processes and Control Systems in the Region; working with Regional leadership and management to ensure buy-in and compliance with Group standards.

Role Responsibility:

  • Assist with the implementation of new Enterprise Risk Management processes.
  • Implement the revised ERM processes and systems for controlling risks in the Region, prioritising the highest risk aspects.
  • Support execution of a Communications Plan to articulate the expected business benefits of the Group’s ERM approach and achieve strong buy-in at Regional and Country level.
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate regional training and awareness programmes in order to educate and inform. If necessary this may include training and familiarisation in new IT solutions for designated individuals across the Region.
  • Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of Risk Clusters registers.
  • Work with the Region according to a defined plan to implement the ERM policies and procedures.
  • Although the different elements of risk are the responsibility of the various regional functional managers, the job holder is responsible to assist with the co-ordination of processes, systems and controls to ensure that all aspects of risk in the Region are monitored, controlled, mitigated and reported.
  • Assisting in the “3 Lines of Defence Model” is operating effectively in the Region.
  • Support the Regional Risk Manager in reporting to the Board and Executive Risk Committee all relevant risk data to ensure the Committees have oversight of risk within the Group.
  • Prepare the agenda and management information for the Regional Risk and Audit Committee and take and distribute the minutes.

Requirements

The following skills and experience will be required:

  • Self -starter with the vision to help define the role and remit for both themselves and the Region.
  • Strong intellect supported by strong academic qualifications, possibly including a professional Risk Management qualification.
  • Strategic orientation yet demonstrating a ‘sleeves up’ approach: a doer as well as a thinker. 
  • Able to engage with Service management.
  • The skills necessary to contribute to the leadership of key risk processes. 
  •  Excellent interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Able to drive change with a degree of patience, pragmatism and sensitivity to the G4S culture.
  • Able to have real empathy with people and to engage with the country management teams and risk specialists.
  • Fluent in English and possibly a second language appropriate for the Region.
  • A sense of integrity and a strong work ethic. 
  • High potential for further career development within G4S.
