e.tv has two positions for Presentation Scheduler Interns in the On Air Presentations department in Cape Town. The internships are for a period of 6 months.
Reporting to the HOD: On Air Operations your Key Performance Areas will include:
- Creating accurate daily transmission schedules across a multi-channel platform
- Responsible for final schedule and the distribution of it to on air users both internal and external
- Liaise with external departments for any programme or promo discrepancies, late start times and outstanding material
- Liaise with the Commercial Time Sales Departments for all commercial scheduling, outstanding material and over sells
- Implement promotion planning and meeting contractual agreements
- View and Schedule of interstitial programming, channel branding and promos
- Create promo reports
- Daily reconciliation of transmission schedules
- Perform Ad hoc duties for the HOD of On-Air Operations, Presentations Manager and Supervisors
Requirements:
- Marketing, Research or Media Communications Diploma
- Knowledge of television broadcasting an advantage
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently
- Computer literacy essential(Outlook, Excel, Word,)
- Good accuracy and attention to detail skills
- Analytical/quick thinker
- Multi-tasking skills
- Positive attitude
- Flexible
- Willingness to work longer hours if required
