Job description
Purpose of the role To conduct internal audit engagements from planning to reporting phase, participate in and support ERM and governance activities.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with preliminary reviews of business systems and processes
- Assist with maintaining client files
- Assist with document business processes and construct flowcharts of processes and systems
- Assist with preparation and maintain audit files
- Assist with research and preparation audit programs
- Assist with execution of audit programs and record specific work done
- execute audit fieldwork, by enquiry, observation and scrutiny of documents
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of audit findings
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of draft audit reports
- keep up-to-date with research and development of best practices
Candidate Requirements
- Relevant Internal Audit Qualification ( BTech or BComm with Internal Audit majors)
- Studying towards becoming a CIA is an essential requirement
- Good verbal and writing skills
- Ability to compile and write reports
- Excellent planning and organising skills
- Quality and detail oriented
- Client focussed
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Proactive and able to take initiative
- Committed to professional and ethical standards
- Team orientated
- Able to travel frequently
