A vacancy exists for a Porter/Driver for night duty, based at Life St Dominic’s Hospital reporting to Elize Coetzee, Unit Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for porter duties and assist with driving of employees and deliveries if and when required in the evenings.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct basic duties as allocated by the Unit Manager.
- Ensure quality patient care and customer satisfaction according to Life Healthcare policies and procedures.
- Maintaining excellent patient and customer care in accordance with Life Healthcare Standards.
- Effective risk management of the unit by complying with Health, Safety and Infection Control policies and procedures.
- Effective participation in the management of costs in the unit (stock, staffing and equipment).
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Working experience in the hospital environment would be an advantage. Driver’s Licence + Professional Driver’s Permit
- Experience in dealing with people.
- Knowledge of hospital procedures.
- Team player
- Must be willing to work according to the flexi-hour system including night duty.
- Position includes working shifts.
