Internship/Vacation student position at Abeinsa EPC South Africa in the Legal industry.

Job Functions:

  • A position has arisen for an Intern in our legal department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Drafting Contracts according to contractual standards and conditions of the company.
  • Incorporation of new entities.
  • Drafting Legal reports.
  • Supporting all departments in risk analysis in potential new projects.
  • Carry out the preventive management of the legal risks.
  • Give a legal response to actions of third parties (Subcontractors, Authorities, etc).
  • Advise in the signing of contracts and agreements (Construction).
  • Detect and provide information on the possible legal risks in the execution of the project/ Works to ensure their efficient development.
  • Identify and propose the legal solution most suitable to each kind of problem by taking into account the reference frame defined by the laws in force and the customer necessities.
  • Negotiate with third parties and/or legal representatives.
  • Manage secretarial services and in charge of the secretarial services file.

Job Requirements:

  • The candidate should be a recent undergraduate degree graduate (BCom Law, BA Law or equivalent), and must not yet have completed their LLB degree.
  • However, candidates who are in the process of completing their LLB degree will still be considered).

  • Energetic and high level of dedication.
  • Strong knowledge of various cultures and the international way of doing business.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; Spanish / French are a big plus.
