KWV has an exciting opportunity available for an Internal Audit Intern to join their team for a 12 month contract at the Head Office in Paarl.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- Studying towards or completed qualification in Internal Audit
- Must be available for a 6 – 12 month full time internship
Skills and Competencies Required
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail, analytical and assertive personality
- Dependable and willing to accept responsibility
- Ability to work independently, with limited supervision
- Professional, responsible, ethical, independent and objective work ethic
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in MS Office is essential
- Experience with SAP will be advantageous
- Good understanding of risk and control concepts
- Strong knowledge of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards)
- Valid Driver’s license and own transport
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting with general departmental administration
- Performing ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
- Planning and preparing for internal audit engagements
- Understanding and documenting business processes, with attention to evaluation of risks and controls
- Drafting the internal audit programme
- Requesting, reviewing and analysing audit evidence
- Preparing working papers, documenting work performed and audit evidence
- Identifying and documenting audit findings, risks, root causes, recommendations and management responses
- Drafting internal audit reports
- Manage own time within the allocated time frame
