The Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA) invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for the Supply Chain Management Internship Programme 2025.

Internship Application Closing Date: 17 May 2025
Internship Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa

Internship Opportunity: Supply Chain Management Intern (x1)

Stipend: R10,500.00 per month
Duration: 24 months
Reference Unit: Supply Chain
Reporting To: SCM Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • South African citizen under 35 years old
  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Purchasing Management
  • A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in the above fields will be an added advantage
  • No prior experience required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in contract management and tender evaluations (RFQ, RFP, RFB)
  • Support compliance with PFMA, PPPFA, BBBEE, and SCM regulations
  • Aid in purchase order processing, delivery tracking, and invoice handling
  • Update and manage documents according to ISO Standards
  • Resolve supply chain issues affecting internal or external stakeholders
  • Provide general administrative support to the SCM unit

Competencies Required:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Basic knowledge of public sector SCM legislation
  • A proactive and organised approach
