Human Resources Internship 2018 at Cape Union Mart

Cape Union Mart’s HRD Department currently requires an Intern in Cape Town. The successful candidate will ideally be able to self-motivate and self – manage. A Human Resources Development tertiary qualification or in a related field is favourable. A passion for Learning and Development and administration is essential.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate training (send invitations, book venues and catering, print material etc.)
  • Update the HR system weekly (upload attendance registers, training certificates etc.)
  • Maintain database of Training providers and Company Library
  • Coordinate and oversee HRD videography projects
  • Communicate the necessary HRD information to Stores, Head Office & Distribution Centre



  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Computer proficiency and working knowledge of MS Office
  • Exposure to Premier PHR (advantageous)
  • Self –sufficient with the ability to work in a pressurised, fast paced environment
  • Forward thinking with the ability to proactively identify and resolve problems
  • Self –confident with the ability to converse eloquently and professionally
  • Time management skills with the ability to work within time constraints
  • Methodical work approach with the ability to prioritise tasks and events
  • Attention to detail with a flair for working with administration
  • Passionate about providing superior customer service
  • A strong sense of team work
  • A valid driver’s license
