Free Learner Driver Training Programme 2018 (Free State)

The Road Traffic Management Corporation has partnered with the Free State Department of Police Roads and Transport, DLTC’s, Driving Schools and Ides training academy to offer free learner driver training programme to unemployed youth in the Free State Province.

The Department of Police, Roads and Transport in the Free State will roll out a Learner Driver Training Programme across the province as part of the Free State road Safety improvement strategy.

The road safety improvement strategy will not only target existing road users but will intervene in the full chain of road safety. This will involve the targeting of learner drivers, driving schools, learner instructors and law enforcement officers in the province.

The Department will train 900 unemployed youths as part of the Provincial Road Safety Improvement Plan. Of the 900 required, a total of 763 learner candidates were found suitable during the selection process.
