Engineering company Steinmüller Africa’s technical training academy is rapidly introducing young blood into its welder, boilermaking, rigging and fitting teams to boost the company’s on-site maintenance welding and cutting teams.
The Steinmüller Africa Technical Training Academy was established in 2012 and now consists of three centres – collectively specialising in welding, boilermaking, fitting and rigging – in Sebokeng and Pretoria, in Gauteng, and in Bethal, Mpumalanga. Collectively the training centres produce about 165 artisans over 24 to 48 months.
What is on offer?
The Steinmüller Africa Technical Training Academy provides apprenticeships, skills courses, learnerships, short courses and qualifications in technical occupations and trades, our range of programmes are include but are not limited to the following:
- Welding
- Boilermaking
- Pipe Fitting (Soon to be a registered trade)
- Rigging
Who is the academy for?
The Academy provides training to its employees and the general public. Steinmüller Africa’s training department is accredited by the South African Institute of Welding, according to the International Institute of Welding standards.
