BURSARY OPPORTUNITIES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF MINERAL RESOURCES – 2015
The Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) wishes to offer fulltime bursaries preferably for girl learners who have
completed Grade 12 and who aim to further their studies in the following fields:
- Mine Engineering
- Geology
- Mine Surveying
- Rock Blasting
- Mechanical Engineering
- Environmental Science
- Any other mining related field
The following requirements are eligible for consideration:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must come from a disadvantaged background (preference will be given to those from the rural areas.)
- Obtained a Grade 12 certificate with a pass rate: 75% Mathematics and 75% Physical Science and English 60%
- Preferably be a girl learner
- Attach certified copies of:
- – South African Identity document
- – Grade 12 certificate
