SANNE was established in Jersey in 1988 and originally focused on the provision of private client fiduciary services.
The firm’s strategy was refocused in 2003 to develop a world class corporate and funds offering. This refocus further developed in 2008 with the restructuring of the business into a number of dedicated business divisions focusing on the alternative asset classes of private debt and capital markets, real estate and private equity. The business also took the decision to continue to grow its outsource administration services business to international corporations and further enhance its private client expertise.
Operational focus moved away from a single jurisdiction with the opening of new offices in Luxembourg and Dublin in 2008. This international expansion was supplemented in 2010 with offices opened in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Dubai. In 2011, SANNE established offices in Guernsey and London.
In 2012, SANNE entered into a partnership with Inflexion, a leading private equity investment business, to continue the business’ longer term strategy of building a high quality fiduciary business through organic growth complemented by strategic acquisitions.
Dean Godwin was appointed as CEO in 2012 to continue the development of the business into a full service offering, predominantly focused on corporate and fund administration services.
Over the past 12 months, the Group has acquired businesses in Dublin, South Africa, New York, the Netherlands and Mauritius. It is now firmly established in the alternative asset and corporate services industry as a global leading provider and high quality administration and reporting services.
In January 2019, Martin Schnaier succeeded Dean Godwin as SANNE’s CEO having been promoted from the role of Chief Commercial Officer which Mark Law now occupies. In the same month, SANNE also established offices in Amsterdam and Tokyo. Most recently, SANNE established a presence in Mumbai in order to service its clients more efficiently.
