CLINICAL CONFIRMATION CLERK at Netcare 911

NETCARE POLOKWANE HOSPITAL

The incumbent will be responsible for daily communication with medical aids,
nursing staff and medical practitioners regarding confirmations of medical aids
and payments

KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

The duties of the position include but are not limited to the following, and are carried out in accordance with Netcare’s Policies and Procedures. The objective of this position is to assist the

Assist in the application of clinical knowledge in risk management of patients in terms of length of stay, level of care and ICD and CPT coding

Handle information of a confiencial nature

Ensure all patients have authorasation numbers

Ensure allk information obtained from the medical aid is captured on the system and conveyed/escalated appropriately

Assisting with data capturing

Compliance

Each individual is responsible for their own compliance to regulations as set out by Netcare’s Policies and Procedures

Communication

Maintain and sustain effective working relationships with all medical and allied medical staff.

General

Accurate, efficient performance of duties

Conduct related administrative and house-keeping tasks.
Any other duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.

EDUCATION

Grade 12

WORK EXPERIENCE

Work experience in a Hospit  would be advantageous.

Knowledge of medical aids scale of benefits would be advantageous.

Computer literate.
SAP system knowledge would be advantageous
