UNISA: Registration 2020 (Undergraduates & Postgraduates) for 1st Semester now open

Successful applicants and re-registering students must register to study through Unisa in 2020.

  • Applicants (new applicants & Unisa students who applied for admission to a new qualification) can only begin the registration process if they have received confirmation from Unisa that their application for admission has been accepted.
  • Re-registering students can register for the 2020 academic year during the relevant registration period once they have received their registration details from Unisa.
  • Should you wish to change to an alternative qualification, please apply for the alternative qualification during the next application period.

Check that you are ready to complete & submit your registration

  • I’ve selected the modules for which I want to register based on the study time I have available and the number of modules I need to pass per year / over 2 consecutive semesters.
  • I’ve calculated my study fees, including miscellaneous fees, additional study material fees and the cost of my  prescribed books.
  • I’ve written down the exam and other registration codes I need to complete my registration.
  • I’ve read Unisa’s Student Rules.

University of South Africa (Unisa) registration for 2020 (1st Semester) is now open for you to register.  UNISA offers four methods of registration for 2020  which includes online, self-help, post & fax registration.

Successful applicants and re-registering students must register to study through Unisa in 2020 (1st Semester).

Unisa just announced that the closing date for first semester registrations and minimum payments has been extended to 1 February 2020.

Reminder Of Unisa’s Registration Closing Date For Honours Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, And Master’s & Doctoral Degrees

Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas:

  • Semester and year modules (including CTA) registration closes on 1st February 2020
  • Year modules for students who write examinations in January/ February 2020 registration closes on 7 March 2020

Master’s & doctoral qualifications:

  • Registration closes on 29 March 2020

Undergraduate registration

(higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, BTech & degrees, including the Postgraduate Certificate in Education [PGCE])

  Registrations open Registrations close Final date for initial minimum payment so that your registration can be finalised

Semester 1

Semester 2

Self-help centres are open from 08:00 – 15:30 week days, and from 08:00 – 11:30 on official Saturdays.

Official Saturdays open: 11 and 18 January 2020 & 18 July 2020

Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas: registration for these qualifications may only be submitted online

(excluding the Postgraduate Certificate in Education [PGCE])
