PURPOSE
- RCL Foods Chicken Animal Feed Division is recruiting for highly motivated and passionate individuals to serve as General Worker – Artisan Assistant at our site based in Worcester in the Western Cape.
- The purpose of the role is to assist Artisans with daily maintenance and construction work.
- Candidates residing in the Worcester region will receive preference.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment – minimum of 6 months.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Physically fit – able to carry 50kg bags
- Basic hand tools experience
- Willing to work shifts and overtime as operationally required
- Basic Computer literacy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Do daily line inspections and give feedback
- React timeously to breakdowns
- Do mechanical/electrical/plate work maintenance
- Manually grease pellet mill rollers at every shift
- Check sump pumps at minus one at every shift
- Factory lighting
- Assist artisan overhauling and assembling equipment
- Adhere to safety rules and regulations
- Perform ad hoc tasks as required by Mill operations and/or designated by Mill Management.
