X7 Positions

Office base: All regions/Provinces

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the PI’s of the study;
  • Assist with logistical responsibilities including post, courier, office management;
  • Provide efficient administrative and organizational support to the project ;facilitate printing, equipment and other project requirements;
  • Maintain databases and file project related documents;
  • Maintain assets database for the Project and ensure that assets for the project are properly managed;
  • Preparations of agenda and materials for meetings; minute taking and record keeping of proceedings
  • Liaise with Support Services;
  • Process claims and other payments;
  • Facilitate travel arrangements for Project based staff and data collectors as and when required.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be in possession of a grade 12 qualification;
  • Post-matric qualifications in Office Administration or Secretarial Management will be an advantage.
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience;
  • Previous experience providing admin support on a large research project;
  • Knowledge of E-Workflow and RMS systems will be an added advantage;
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and financial systems;
  • Be able to do basic budget calculations and manage a budget;
  • Advanced computer literacy;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage in a diverse team and prioritise;
  • Understanding  research environments will be an added advantage;
  • Flexibility, proactive, team player, independence and aptitude for innovation;
  • Ability to multi-task work under pressure and after hours when needed;
  • Initiative and ability to anticipate and respond to the needs of the office
  • Excellent minute-taking
  • Excellent verbal and written English;
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to interface with, among others, research and administrative colleagues and service providers;
  • Confident and prompt planning, scheduling and organizational abilities;
  • Sound office management, maintenance, procurement and administration skills;
  • Available for a period of 12 months from appointment
  • Must be a South African Citizen
