Department of Social Development offers exciting opportunities to suitable candidates who have passed a NQF Level 4 FETC Certificate in Early Childhood Development for potential placement in our learnership programme

IN ACHIEVING THE DEPARTMENTS EMPLOYMENT EQUITY PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Youth from all race and gender groups, inclusive of persons with disabilities
  • Foster Children
  • Orphans Youth Related to Military Veterans
  •  Child Headed Families

Successful learners will be expected to enter into an 18-month contract from 2021 and would be placed at the Early Childhood Development Centre where they are volunteering / employed

FETC: Early Childhood Development NOF Level 5

  • Volunteers at ECD qualification Centres
  • Letter from Principal at ECD centre confirming that they will mentor the learner during the 18 month programme
  • Already in possession of a NQF Level 4 ECD qualification
  • Grade 12

Documents to be attached

  • Certified copy of the NQF ECD Level 4C admittance requirement for this learnership
  • Certified copy of ID
  • Proof of residence in Gauteng .
  • Certified copy of Grade 12 certificate
  • CV
  • Proof of income of person supporting you and their ID
  • Court order if you were a foster child
  • Background report from a social worker to child headed families ECD qualification orphans and foster children . Grade 12
  • Proof or relation to military veteran
  • In terms of the ECD learnership a letter from the Principal or a ECD centre confirming that there will be mentored and placed at the ECD centre for 18 months

NB: No incomplete, fared or emailed applications will be considered All applications should be submitted to the Departmental Regions and Institutions nearest to the applicant’s residential area
