PURPOSE

  • The Facilities Management Division is seeking to appoint Facilities Cleaner in the Cape Town.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 8 or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years office cleaning experience

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate (read and write)
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cleaning of offices/labs, common areas (ablution facilities and kitchen) and meeting rooms:

  • Cleaning of office/labs, common areas and meeting room in the morning before staff enters their office space

Tea supplies, arrangements and cleaning material:

  • Check stock of tea, coffee, sugar and milk in kitchens
  • Refreshment arrangement during meetings
  • Request replenishment of supplies

Up keep of cleaning equipment:

  • Maintenance of cleaning equipment

Advantageous:

  • Post Matric studies in Operations/ facilities/ Building maintenance
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and working with SLA’s
  • Greater than 5 years handyman experience (Building maintenance, upkeep of premises, Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and air conditioning experience)
