Capital Africa

Capital was founded in 1985 and is now one of the largest Temporary Employment Services in Southern Africa.

In 2007 the business was acquired by JSE listed Adcorp Holdings, which is the largest staffing group in SA (90 000 temporary staff placed daily).
Adcorp allowed COG (now 25% of Adcorp) to remain independent, maintain its culture and style and not corporatized the business. Capital’s non-corporate entrepreneurial flair has been one of the cornerstones of its success.

COG employs over 28 000 temporary staff (unskilled to highly skilled) across Africa and the UK, and have an annual turnover exceeding R 2 billion ($220m).

COG is the only operating division within the Adcorp Group that focuses on providing HR solutions to the African continent and offshore.
Established in 1998, COG Africa found its niche when realizing that companies venturing into in Africa, needed to focus on their core business and so when arriving in the new country did not have the luxury of time to get to understand it’s labour laws, Health & Safety laws, procurement rules and regulations and all HR related requirements and legislation.
