The primary purpose of the Fund Accountant – LISP role is to maintain a portfolio of funds by completing the daily/monthly/quarterly tasks to produce annual financial statements of the highest quality for clients; and coordinate and facilitate submission of financial statements to the FSCA through providing ongoing excellent service.
Responsibilities:
The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved:
- Accountable for maintaining daily, monthly, quarterly processes and procedures and or client specific requirements on portfolio of funds.
- Accountable to produce quality annual financial statements within the required time frame per client SLA.
- Ensure adherence to internal review process prior to start of the audit.
- Comply with procedures, processes, policies to eliminate possible risk exposure to the funds under administration.
- Accountable for maintaining portfolio of funds as per company processes and procedures.
- Establish strong, trust based relationships with internal clients, external clients and other teams within the Administration Services.
- Effective communication with all relevant parties to achieve the goals and targets.
- Working collaboratively with other departments to coordinate client interactions and provide solutions to their needs.
- Ensuring that effective communication to clients is conducted timeously.
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Relevant Accounting Degree/Diploma
