The Council for Geoscience (CGS) is calling on suitably qualified and interested graduates to apply for its current Internship Programme offering which will be active for a period of two (2) years.
The purpose of the Internship is to support and equip eight (8) graduates with practical work experience and provide them with exposure to work areas within their respective career fields.
Stipend: R 13 000 per month
The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:
Geology Interns
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BSc Honours in Geology or equivalent
Hydrology Interns
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BSc Honours in Hydrology or equivalent
Law Interns
- Matric (Grade 12)
- National Diploma / Degree in: Law/Legal Studies
Marketing/ Communications/Public/ Stakeholder Relations Interns
- Matric (Grade 12)
- National Diploma / Degree in: Marketing / Communications / Public Relations
- Postgraduate qualification will be advantageous
Human Resources Interns
- Matric (Grade 12)
- National Diploma / Degree in: Human Resources Management or equivalent qualification
- Postgraduate qualification will be advantageous
Skills and Competencies:
- Well organised and ability to prioritise own work
- Meets deadlines
- Report writing
- Analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Willingness to learn
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- Speak English at business fluency level
